  permanently closed !,,,This home was just burnt down in the January 9 2018 mudslide, when debris from the nearby creek overflowed and snapped off the gas meter then shot flames up and ignited the roof overhang then spread to the whole place. I recently got an update that the Brave lady fire captain was able to help rescue the homeowners who apparently had to jump out of the Second Story and got hurt in the fall in our prayers go out that we hope they are recovering in the hospital Yes it was built on the very location whare Jim and Susie Lavenson the former owners of San Ysidro Ranch had built theire guest horse riding stables managed by Miss Vicki Gannon along with her famous German police dog Kel Kel that used to hike the trails along with the horses and wrangler miss Kelly Auger. Vickys horse "Flying Star Bob" was in the paddock right in front of the stable barn for the visiting tourist to pet and for photos, Vicki and her girls took lots of guest of the San Ysidro Ranch on beautyfull trail rides up the San ysidro trails on the mountains behind the ranch, it was where celebrity's could come up from hollywood, get on a horse and have a fantastic brethtaking trail ride back into nature, they even had a mule, named "Eyeore" that was one of the best ones to ride on because he was sure footed and knew all the trails! Vicki and the girls kept those horses in top condition in the heat and cold! Eventually the horse stables were closed down, the 16 or so horses relocated and the barn removed and this beautyfull home was constructed on the very land, wich was 40 feet from the russelling creek, all was going good until the January 8 and early morning 3am heavy rains hit, Jan 9th flash flood hit, without warning the 15ft deep creek rose to the the top of its banks, tearing out the 40 ton 20ft wide concrete bridge across the creek and bringing mud from a mile above, along with it came huge 200 ton bolders, big rocks, gravel and heavy mud that was like wet concrete, moving about running speed, the mass covered, crushed and tore out trees, cars, and homes in all the low lying path downhill towards the beach 3 miles away, a lot of people were asleep in bed and theire home colapsed onto them and swept them down the creek!, We are all saddened by this life changing event, but will never forget Jim, Sussie, Vicki, Kelly and the horses that brought so much pleasure to so many. Our prayers go out the family members of those who didn't make it through the flood.

  I have rated Mr. Daniel Encell, Estates Director of California Prudential Realty in Montecito, California along with his top ace assistants, Arisa and Kate "Five Stars" without hesitation due to the fact that such unique professionalism is so very deserving. My 1950's age home in the Upper East area of Santa Barbara only blocks from the historic Santa Barbara Mission was one of quite a few on the market recently. The only difference between those homes and mine is that I elected to list my property with Daniel Encell. I followed through on all his advice, guidance and expertise to the letter which led to receiving an offer on my property one day after the first public OPEN HOUSE. That is correct. My property never reached day two. I met with the prospectus buyers in Mr. Encell's Coast Village Road Prudential's Montecito Office on a Monday morning the day after the first Sunday OPEN HOUSE. I accepted the offer and we went into escrow that afternoon. I just recently closed escrow. "Thanks Dan," and by the way, the funds are now in the bank. I absolutely had the most pleasurable businesslike easy relationship between client and agent anyone could ever have. Every single question I had concerning my property was addressed and every single email I sent out was responded to with immediate attention. You need to realize that I have never sold a house before. I felt such ease that every question was met with open response. The property was in minor updating needs to certain rooms. Dan Encell sized up those updating needs during our first walk-around and I followed through on all those updates along with landscape advice. His staff worked tireless as far as I'm concerned following up and guiding me every step of the way with coordination details. Morning, afternoon or evening it did not matter. My emails were always received, understood and realistically addressed as to what steps were next in the process. Did I mention I received an offer in just ONE DAY? Next came the listing. The property was listed in two full-color brochures and also on one of the most highly internet exposed real estate sites in the country. Dan Encell's site gets hits nationwide everyday throughout the year. My house was on that site. It was an honor. Mr. Encell hired experts in Santa Barbara who came over to measure rooms and photograph the interior and exterior of the property that resulted in those two fabulous color brochures. A sheet batch went into the clear box which was attached to the strong wooden post of the Prudential Real Estate sign. These brochure sheets emptied constantly prior to the OPEN HOUSE. It was refilled repeatedly. When the offer came in, Mr. Encell who was there in person with me and the buyers, negotiated for me and followed through with skills of a lawyer. Did I mention he is one? Please read his bio. He does not get flustered, excited, make mistakes or rash judgements as far as I could tell. But instead stays cool and calm and expert from start to finish. I cannot recommend Daniel Encell's services enough. If you are selling a property and want comprehensive representation and exposure citywide to nationwide, and advertising that is put together meticulously to garner maximum attention, I would suggest you so yourself a service and contact the offices of Mr. Daniel Encell. If you want superior daily followup detail during your important listing process conducted by the highly skilled and extremely smart staff comprised of Arisa and Kate then I would not hesitate to settle on the Estates Director of Montecito's Prudential Real Estate Branch, Mr. Daniel Encell.
